Congress keeps Lalu hanging

After long- time ally Ram Vilas Paswan turned his back on Rashtriya Janata Dal ( RJD), party president Lalu Prasad finds himself on tenterhooks as he waits for Congress to finalise its pre- poll alliance in Bihar. Lalu has been long trying to revive his party's tie- up with the Congress in an attempt to take on a resurgent Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP) led by its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
