BJP writes to EC against dropping sedition charges

A day after UP police withdrew sedition charges slapped on a group of “unidentified” Kashmiri students of Swami Vivekananda Subharti University (SVSU) in Meerut, state BJP president sent a letter Friday to Chief Electoral Officer Umesh Sinha seeking intervention into the matter and alleging that the UP government’s decision was violation of model code of conduct.
