Return of the Sangh

One of the more remarkable aspects of Election 2014 has been the resurrection of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a political force. The paradox is that the RSS does not quite see itself as a political actor; it sees itself as a kind of cultural organisation whose goal is to promote nationalism and whose key element is the defence of "the Hindu Dharma".
