India, too, can create devices

It is indeed good news that India has, of late, been seeing some product launches in the information technology space, as this newspaper reported on March 19. It had become a self-fulfilling article of faith that India is good for software services but not for products. It is essential to break this stereotype for India to realise its full potential in terms of creativity, jobs and incomes.
