TN: Rising sons put dads in shade

The generational shift in Tamil Nadu's politics was never more evident than now. Some months ago, PMK founder S Ramadoss unveiled his grand alliance of caste outfits. He called it TN's Social Democratic Alliance (SDA). PMK, he said, would contest LS polls as part of SDA and have no truck with any Dravidian party. Six months later, his 46-year-old son Anbumani started a dialogue with BJP and sewed up an alliance, convincing his father that going with NDA made better sense.
