AP’s split prolongs BJP, TDP alliance talks

The BJP is set to announce its alliance with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the newly-created Seemandhra and Telangana States. Declaring that the alliance formulation is in the “advanced stages”, party spokesperson and one of the negotiators with the TDP, Prakash Javdekar, said here on Wednesday that the BJP will contest “one-third” of the 42 Lok Sabha seats in both the States.
