SC cancels Aussie judge's appointment in KG-D6 case

The Supreme Court has appointed an Australian judge to preside over the crucial arbitration between Reliance Industries and the oil ministry, upholding the company's view that a foreigner's appointment would totally rule out any bias, and firmly rejecting the government's concern that an Indian should be nominated to ensure that the global clout of RIL's partner BP does not impact proceedings.
