Welcome Supreme Court move to scrap mining ban

We welcome the Supreme Court's revocation of its 18-month old ban on mining iron ore in Goa, even if it comes with some caveats. Mining licences that have not been renewed since 2007 will be scrapped and the total volume of ore excavated cannot exceed 20 million tonnes per year. These were more or less expected, and markets had factored in the cap on mining.
