A lost decade
Truth be told, the United Progressive Alliance’s (UPA’s) failures were foretold. The coalition—led by the Congress party—enters a decade in power this week. It is a happy occasion for the UPA but it isn’t for India. Growth has been dented badly and the country’s international prospects have dimmed considerably in the past years.
