India Inc gets a peek into Narendra Modi's agenda

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, seen as the BJP's prime ministerial candidate, Thursday told a group of some 120 CEOs that India needs empowered states, flexible labour laws and a governance-backed development agenda. The closed-door meeting was held at a five-star hotel and Modi was a listener for the first 20 minutes of the 75-odd minute exchange, with the CEOs seeking his views on a wide range of issues from his prime ministerial ambition to water, environment, poverty, the federal nature of the government, labour laws, education and skilling.
