I-T dept freezes Jaya’s close aide Sasikala’s Rs 2,000 crore assets

The Income Tax Department on Wednesday froze assets worth Rs 2,000 crore owned by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s close aide VK Sasikala under the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act.
