There is little justification for continued inaction by the Centre on Telangana. The Telangana region is now chaotic, if not paralysed, thanks to intensification of the agitation for a separate state. Lawlessness in Hyderabad in the name of the agitation provides room for protection rackets that collect payment for not targeting particular commercial installations.
