India, Afghanistan strategise for the future

The wide-ranging strategic partnership agreement signed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai during their third extensive meeting this year in New Delhi on Tuesday is an important and laudable step towards forging deeper bonds between the two countries. The agreement allows for greater cooperation in counter-terrorism operations, bilateral trade and commerce.
