Minority wooing UPA’s poll priority

With elections coming up in UP, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Gujarat over the next year, minority wooing once again tops the UPA government's agenda. Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee has been taking personal interest in ensuring that all government banks focus on opening new accounts from the community and met the target of 15% of all priority sector lending to minorities before the end of the current fiscal.
