No one is going to be fooled by the Cabinet reshuffle undertaken by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in a bid to prop up his sagging image in the wake of a series of scandals, because the move is too little and has come too late. While the public outcry over the Bhanwari Devi episode involving a senior Minister — who has been sacked after much foot-dragging by the Chief Minister — and the controversial firing by the police in Gopalgarh that claimed 10 lives, compelled Mr Gehlot to revamp his team, the fact is that even the new list has some of the Ministers who have been allegedly associated with wrongdoings. For instance, Mr Shanti Dhariwal has been retained although he has been under attack over the Gopalgarh incident.
