Mismanaged economy

It’s now official: The national economy, in the doldrums for the past year, is now begiinning to falter and fall back. The third quarter growth figures are indicative of the mess that the UPA has made of a resurgent economy; it can no longer get away by blaming the turmoil in the Eurozone and the economic slowdown in the US for the very real crisis that looms large over India. External factors can at best play a peripheral role in deciding the contours of our economy, they cannot determine its course entirely. If anything is to be blamed, it is the Congress-led Government’s gross mismanagement of the economy which has resulted in a reversal of trends.
