Let the House debate

The logjam in Parliament over the Government's decision to allow foreign direct investment (FDI) in multi-brand retail has ensured that the current winter session has transacted virtually no business so far. Coming on the back of disruptions that crippled the previous monsoon session as well, we have reached a situation where Parliament functions sporadically, if at all, and there is a dangerous alienation of people from their elected representatives.
