Impact of rising costs on farm labour

Although rigorous analysis is still awaited, it is now fairly widespread experience in agriculture that labour is becoming more expensive and often not available. Rising wage costs obviously reflect improvement in income opportunities for that segment of labour force which was the least paid and experienced uncertain employment.
