Pulse acreage falls further

Even as the acreage of wheat crop this rabi (winter) season is marginally up than the last season, the government’s efforts to offset the loss in the acreage of pulses in the kharif season — by harvesting additional 10 lakh hectares — seems not to have borne fruit.
