Tax havens want DTAAs not just TIEAs
The government’s wait to gain access to information from tax havens is likely to prolong, with four countries wanting a full-fledged double taxation avoidance agreements (DTAAs) rather than tax information exchange agreements (TIEAs). Liechtenstein, Panama, Seychelles and Bahrain have asked India for a double taxation avoidance treaty instead of tax information exchange arrangement.
